Jeeves dropped me like a stone - but picked me up again

There I was, glowing in anticipation of all the traffic that AskJeeves/Teoma was going to send me once the 200,000+ pages they spidered in February would make it to the index.

For the last many weeks I’ve had 2,070 pages indexed by AksJeeves/Teoma, and I was basically just waiting for a massive increase in indexed pages - and an equivalent increase in traffic.

But this weekend I dropped from 2,070 to 2 pages :-(

Right now I’m back up at 2,070 :-) but it got me thinking if Jeeves dances just like Google and if this is the sign of a new index being being put in place or just a temporary glitch.

New list builder from Gary Ambrose

Just had to get the word out that Gary Ambrose has launched a new list builder.

I haven’t tried it yet, doesn’t really know how it’s different from otherlist builders, but it’s free, so I signed up.

List builders have - historically - proven semi-successful for me, so adding uet another to the arsenal can’t be all that bad ;-)

Cellphone company fined 2 million (DKK) for spamming

Cellphone company debitel was just fined 2 million DKK for spamming.

2 million Danish Kroner is “just” $359,138 which the company will be forced to pay if they don’t win the appeal.

So it turns out, that sending out 12,000 SMS’s and 36,000 emails soliciting people to become customers is not the way to market your services ;-)
