6.4% CTR with InstantBuzz
December 19th, 2004
One of the things to consider about any new way of marketing is the response rate.
It might be a simple tool - or an advanced.
It might be free - or a paid for service.
But in the end it all boils down to convertion ratios.
I’ve just returned home after a cool afternoon and evening out with the family.
I changed the wording on my InstantBuzz before we went out and set up a separate tracker for the combo of InstantBuzz and the thing I was promoting.
Here are the results 9 hours later:
My ad was shown 329 times while I was gone.
21 people clicked through to my landing page.
Thats a CTR of 6.4% - not bad for a headline I just slapped together on my way out the door.
Now click through ratios doesn’t say much by itself - you have to consider how well each clickthrough converts into sales, leads or whatever it is you are going after.
Well, I had 1 signup for the thing I was promoting - that’s a 4.8% convertion rate.
Or in other words: For each 329 (or so) ad exposures I get 1 signup.
That’s 2.6 signups per day - without lifting a finger or spending anything on advertising.
Safe to say that I’m happy with the results so far
