What are YOU willing to give up?

I just love you guys :-)

Do you remember the first time somebody said "I love you" (besides your grandmother)

Or the standing applause from a group of people you just delivered a speech to?

Or how about that email from senior management letting everybody in the company know just how valued you are?

Or the "thank you for your excellent service - have a nice weekend" from a random customer.

This was how I felt a few days ago right after sending out my "quitting" email.

Less than 15 minutes went by until I got the following

"I'm glad you didn't give up - this newsletter is one I consider a "pick me up" and I read it the minute it comes in! It helps to work on my personal goals and priorities alongside you, to know that there are others out there that go through the same thought process that I do.

This particular issue came at a good time for me - perfect, actually - I'm having one of those days :p Your enthusiasm and determination are contagious!!"

10 minutes later I got this

"Good for you. I'm glad you are back. Good habits can be tricky to form, but they are invaluable. I look forward to your insights. I still love the ant rules"

And later that evening I received this

"I want to extend my admiration to you for your honesty and "will to survive". I, too, am where you are in this huge www.
The one thing that has kept me going is the learning, and genuine love for what I am trying to accomplish. I was so relieved that I was not the only one struggling with "what if's" and the desire for improvement. I have felt a great deal of inadequacies lately and have in turn felt like a complete failure.

Your letter came today, of all days, when I needed encouragement to continue with something. You have taught me so much in the past month or so and I have enjoyed receiving your newsletters. If anything, please know that your choice to continue has given me more hope and better out look.

Thank you for being so honest with how you felt and most of all, you can't give up. "

You guys have no idea what this means to me - you have no idea what YOU mean to me.

I'm so determined on continuing and so grateful for your emails - they went straight to the heart.

Now this brings me to yet another important thing on your quest towards your goals.

The question of how much you are willing to give up to reach your goals.

The question of how much effort you are willing to put in to make your dreams come through.

When I decided to continue to move forward with Growth-Focus I also made a decision of how much time I'm going to spend on making it.

I mean, if you are not willing to put in the extra work to make a significant change in your life right now how can you expect to reach your goals?

Jay Abraham says the following about this aspect of reaching your goals in part 1 of his free 7 part report series

"You must isolate and identify not only a sufficiently large, stimulating and exciting goal, but also the requirements that will be placed on you to reach it, and be honestly prepared to deliver yourself in that sense without equivocating or procrastinating"

You can get Jay's free reports here

And Napoleon Hill in Think and Grow Rich said that

"Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money"

I know I'm starting to consider the "price to pay" for my success and growth, but how about you?

If you are not moving forward towards your goals fast enough could the reason be that you haven't acknowledged what you must give of yourself to reach those goals?

And how much more attainable would your goals be if you made it clear to yourself how and what you are willing to invest in making those dreams come through?

How much time are you willing to put into reaching your goals?

What other activities are you willing to sacrifice to get enough time to work on your goals?

I hope I have given you enough food for thought so that you can now look at your own goals and your plans for achieving them and know that you will reach them because you now know and acknowledges the efforts you are dedicating yourself to put into them.
